mlocate being replaced by findutils?
After recent Cooker updates, I had to urpme mlocate to install the findutils: Installation failed: file /usr/bin/locate from install of findutils-4.5.5-1mdv2010.1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package mlocate-0.22.2-1mdv2010.1.x86_64 file /usr/bin/updatedb from install of findutils-4.5.5-1mdv2010.1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package mlocate-0.22.2-1mdv2010.1.x86_64 Does this mean mlocate is being replaced in the next Mandriva release? What is the state of play on systemwide searching (like Mac OSX spotlight) - didn't we have beagle before? The only reliable tool I have used to date is mlocate (updatedb) - which is quite powerful, but command line only. Thx, R.Fox
