Trashing files and directories from non-home partitions in Mandriva is a pain
For years trashing files and directories from non-home partitions. Instead of these files being moved to <partition>/.Trash-<uid> these files are moved to ~/.local/Trash, which is a very slow process for long files, risks filling up of home and also breaks some apps (like rhythmbox collection management). Since 2007 I guess I opened 3 different reports against 3 different filemanagers (kde4-dolphine, kde3-konqueror and gvfs) but my guess is the problem might be deeper. The problem seems to occur with at least ntfs-3g and maybe also fat partitions. please also see for the trashspec: http://www.ramendik.ru/docs/trashspec.html
